CAD Rate Tracker ("the App") is developed by Koray Sonmezsoy. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.
Data Collection
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. Specifically:
- No account creation or login is required.
- No personal information (name, email, location) is collected.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included.
- No cookies or device identifiers are collected.
Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:
- App preferences — your selected currency pair, averaging method, threshold levels, notification settings, and other configuration choices.
- Exchange log entries — conversion records you manually enter (amounts, dates, rates). These never leave your device.
- Cached rate data — the most recently fetched exchange rates, used to display data while new rates load and to provide offline functionality.
All locally stored data can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
Network Requests
The App makes network requests solely to the following publicly available APIs to retrieve exchange rate data:

No personal or device information is included in these requests.
Push Notifications
The App uses local notifications only. Notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No remote push notification service or external server is involved. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media services.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The App contains no user-generated content, social features, or data collection mechanisms.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
